ASCENT 2.0 recognized in The Analytical Scientist Innovation Awards 2013
December 19, 2013
INDIANAPOLIS, December 18, 2013 — On December 18, 2013, Indigo Biosystems was recognized for making the list of top 15 advances among analytical sciences. This list is known as The Analytical Scientist Innovation Awards (TASAIs) 2013 and sweeps the industry for advances that enhance sample preparation, separation, identification, quantification, analysis, or a combination of these areas. Indigo placed 11th on the list with the release of its upgraded LC/GC/MS data review software, ASCENT 2.0.
ASCENT 2.0 is an update to Indigo’s flagship product, ASCENT, and represents a major shift from an enterprise, installed software to an online, hosted solution. The transition to a hosted model allows scientists to perform data analysis at a lower cost while maintaining or improving quality. The innovative software simplifies adoption of Mass Spec, streamlines implementation, and optimizes the lab’s workflow the moment it is activated.
The 2013 TASAIs were decided by a judging panel comprising of three independent experts (Hans- Gerd Janssen, Robert Kennedy, and Oscar van den Brink), after a full list of nominations were submitted. Indigo’s CEO, Raul Zavaleta, states “Indigo is honored to be a recipient of the 2013 Innovation Awards. This award is very meaningful because it recognizes our pursuit of better science in the analytical laboratory community.”
ASCENT 2.0 is Indigo’s latest advancement in moving instrument data analysis toward auto- verification and improving overall laboratory efficiency. For more information or a demo of ASCENT 2.0, please contact sales@indigobio.com or visit www.indigobio.com.
