Rising Scientific Software Company Selected as Finalist for Two Prestigious 2013 TechPoint Mira Awards: Wins Innovation of the Year

INDIANAPOLIS, April 21st, 2013 — Indianapolis based scientific-software solution company, Indigo BioSystems, is ranked among leading companies in the Indiana tech sector as a finalist for the TechPoint Mira awards. Indigo was recognized by Techpoint in two separate categories this year: Emerging IT Company of the Year and Innovation of the Year.

The company’s flagship software, ASCENTTM, was recognized by the panel of judges as a proprietary technology with demonstrated superiority and viability in the clinical research and laboratory testing markets. For its novelty and unique position in the marketplace, ASCENTTM has been selected as the Innovation of the Year.

TechPoint’s Mira awards honor the best of the technology industry in Indiana. Each of the fourteen categories reflects a number of both Indiana start-ups and long established tech companies. The awards celebrate the gamut of successes and achievements taking place locally in this industry. Every category is judged by a panel of industry leaders and experts on the category specific criteria as well as overall company leadership, competitiveness, defined measurement and efficacy, growth, impact, and community commitment.

Finalists will be recognized and winners will be announced at the 2013 Mira awards gala which will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis.
