The Release of ASCENT 3.0 Delivers Major Upgrades and New Features.

INDIANAPOLIS, January 30, 2014 – Indigo Biosystems (Indigo), a laboratory automation and innovation company, has released the latest version of their flagship software, ASCENT. This software release comes shortly after the company’s switch from providing enterprise software, to a hosted software platform. ASCENT 3.0 will include powerful new features that improve flexibility and help with method development and assay optimization.

“Version 3.0 has been designed to provide the scientist with more control over the methods ASCENT uses to automate data review” says VP of Development Tim Lancaster. Founder and President, Dr. Randall Julian adds, “Hosted systems help reduce costs and improve productivity, but also need to be more flexible – there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution to lab automation. ASCENT now allows customers to react to rapidly to the changing needs of modern healthcare. We believe that ASCENT 3.0 is one of many necessary steps needed to reduce scientists’ workload while improving quality, streamlining costs and speeding results to patients.”

The latest release includes the following new features:

  1. New interface allows scientists to fine-tune the way ASCENT automatically reviews data
  2. Improved handling of multiple analytes and related chromatographic traces
  3. Optional results archiving
  4. Improved reporting tools

ASCENT 3.0 delivers the first of many new features that Indigo Biosystems has planned for 2014. Indigo scientist and developers are committed to improving the speed, capability, quality and usability of ASCENT. Our goal is higher quality results at a lower cost in less time.
